Dr. Charles C. Sung, MD is a graduate of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he expedited his MD degree in three years and received 12 honors, the highest number of honors in the college’s history. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Eye Foundation Hospital where he invented several new surgical instruments for ocular surgery. Dr. Sung accepted and completed a two year fellowship in Macular & Retinal Surgery and Disease at the Vitreoretinal Foundation at the University of Tennessee. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists. His passion is helping his patients see better and treating your eyes as his own eyes.
